Do You Love Yourself?

How To Love Yourself?

Many of us have negative thoughts…
…frequently!

“I’m never going to be able to do this job; I’m just not smart enough.”

“I’m not good enough to do that…”

“I can’t do it…”

When we think like this, our confidence, mood, and outlook can become negative, too.

Haven’t you found that very often our negative thoughts become self-fulfilling prophecies? We talk ourselves into believing that we’re not good enough. The result –  these thoughts drag down our personal lives, our relationships, and our careers.

What if we did the opposite?

What if you changed “I’m not…” and “I’m never…” to “I am…” and “I will…”

“I am healthy, energetic, and optimistic, this project will be a success!”

“I will get through it.”

“I am loved and appreciated by those around me.”

You’ll notice that these affirmations will drive purpose and positive change in your career, and your life in general.

Go on! Give it a try:

Here are a few affirmations that you can use.

“I grow more confident and stronger each day.”

“I am valued and appreciated at my workplace.”

“I am surrounded by abundance.”

Change Your Mindset

So, you’re wondering, “How often should I say my affirmations?” The answer varies. The short answer is you should say affirmations at least three times a day and as much as you need. Just as you customize affirmation phrasing to meet your needs, customize the frequency and timing, as well.

You have another question, “How quickly will I see results?” This probably isn’t what you want to hear but, realistically, the time frame is different for each person and depends on multiple factors, which are specific to you.

For many people, the emphasis is on the “quick” part. It took a long time for your thought patterns and habits to develop to their current state. If you’re most interested in how fast you can change something, you might need to begin by changing your mindset and priorities.

Focus on making steady progress toward your goal, first and foremost. This is not about how fast you get there, but how long you stay, once you reach your destination. Perseverance and staying power help you achieve and maintain the changes over the long term. Developing these qualities as you make progress is important to your overall success and happiness.

With that in mind, implementing a few creative techniques, activities, and ideas can add an element of fun, making the entire experience more beneficial daily, for at least three weeks, my negative thoughts begin to diminish and my mood slowly changes for the better. Yes, at first you may feel silly speaking to yourself in the mirror. But, give it a try, give yourself time – no rush – you’ll find that, like brushing or combing your hair every day, speaking to yourself in the mirror is not silly, but builds your confidence and outlook on life in general.

Your dreams for a better, more successful, and happier life are important. They are within your grasp when you use positive affirmations, your power tool for achieving goals. Using positive affirmations effectively, can turn each dream into a reality and even transform your life. Don’t give up on yourself or your dream. Use the info and suggestions shared here to get the ball rolling and keep it in play for the rest of your life.

No-one said it would be easy. The years of not putting yourself first, trying to please others, to “fit in,” and experiencing deep anxiety about what others thought about you make it that more diccicult to love yourself. But, conscious practice YOU can do it – you CAN love yourself.

Meditation is a habit that may come easily to some. I have been meditating for over five years, but there were many days I found myself slipping, especially when I was stressed out. I learned to better understand and manage my stress after I read “7 Days of Self Care Free” Private Label Rights (PLR) content from Susanne Myers and Tracy Roberts. You, too, can get it at no cost here.

If you’re interested in revitalizing your life through meditation and would like to learn a virtually risk-free, and cost-effective practice, that people of all ages can do with a little patience and guidance and that will serve you for the rest of your life, I would love to connect with you.
